Colin Hamer

Colin Hamer, a retired metallurgical engineer and
scientist, is one of Canada’s few pewtersmiths.
He learned his craft from a master pewtersmith in
1976, and since 1995, it has been his profession.
Colin’s functional designs range from the classical
traditional pieces to the modern and, at times, ‘way
out’ designs. He incorporates etching, welding,
Exotic wood and stained glass in some of his pieces.
All his work is stamped with his touchmark:
CAH, crossed mallet and gad, and the words
PEWTER and CANADA.
